I think Life kind of threw me a bone recently. It couldn't have come at a better time... which is usually when Life drops its most special gifts.
Within days of learning that my (until recently unthinkable) divorce was final, I received messages on Facebook from two different total strangers who said they had read and enjoyed some of the stories I published as free e-books on Smashwords.
That not only made my day, it motivated me to recommit myself to my current path. I do not write for the feedback. I write in the hope that someone, sometime, somewhere will enjoy it. Occasional feedback lets me know that I am accomplishing that goal.
I am humbled and grateful. I am also energized and motivated to finish cleaning up and publishing my backlog of inventory and then moving on to new projects.
